अनादिकाल से मनुष्य अपने मनोभावों को प्रकट करने के लिए किसी न किसी माध्यम का सहारा लेता रहा है; फ़िर चाहे वह शिल्प हो, चित्र हो या साहित्य। कविता साहित्य की वह विधा है जिस में कोई कृति छंदबद्ध कर प्रस्तुत की जाती है। प्रस्तुत संग्रह की कविताएं गेय नहीं हैं, प्रायः मुक्त छंद में लिखी गई हैं। इस पर भी हर रचना में एक लयबद्धता है। वस्तुत: कोई भी कृति नितांत निरर्थक नहीं होती। रचना की सार्थकता तब ही मानी जाती है जब वाचक तक उस रचना का मूल भाव शब्द जाल से परे संप्रेषित हो। प्रस्तुत संग्रह की रचनाएं इस दायित्व का निर्वाह कर पाई हैं या नहीं यह निर्धारित करने का अधिकार केवल आपका है।

From time immemorial, man has been resorting to some medium or the other to express his feelings; be it craft, painting or literature. Poetry is a genre of literature in which a work is presented in verse. The poems in this collection are not written in free verse. In fact, there is no rhyme or reason in the composition. It is up to you to decide whether the basic meaning of the composition has been fulfilled or not.
