Sherlock Holmes is a fictional character of British author Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, but in terms of popularity he is more famous than his creator. In the year 1887, Doyle brought him on paper for the first time in his first detective story 'Gloria Scott' and then he went on solving the mysteries of crimes in his four novels and fifty-six stories. The specialty of Sherlock Holmes, who has become the subject of many films and serials, is his natural understanding of detective work and his humane goodwill towards solving criminal mysteries. His logical intelligence sooner or later understands the working style of the criminal's mind, and then it does not take him much time to solve any case. His cleverness, wit and ability to understand human behavior give him an attractive personality.
