अपने क्रांतिकारी जीवन में आजाद ने कदम-कदम पर अंग्रेजों को कड़ी टक्कर दी। उन्होंने सुखी जीवन का त्याग करके कँटीला रास्ता चुना और अपना जीवन देश पर बलिदान कर दिया। भले ही वे अपने जीवन में आजादी का सूर्योदय न देख पाए, लेकिन गुलामी की काली घटा को अपने क्रांति-तीरों से इतना छलनी कर गए कि आखिरकार उस काली घटा को भारत की भूमि से दुम दबाकर भागना पड़ा।

महान् क्रांतिकारी, अद्वितीय देशाभिमानी एवं दृढ़ संकल्पवान् चंद्रशेखर आजाद के अनछुए जीवन-प्रसंगों के साथ संपूर्ण व्यक्‍तित्व का दिग्दर्शन करानेवाली अनुपम कृति।

Chandrashekhar Azad's name is written in golden letters in the history of the Indian freedom struggle. His original name was Chandrashekhar Tiwari. People may not be fully aware of his contribution to the freedom struggle, but they definitely know that he was one of the leading revolutionaries of this struggle and even the top British police officers trembled at his name. In his childhood itself, he had hit a British officer on the head with a stone to protest against the brutality of the police.

In his revolutionary life, Azad gave a tough fight to the British at every step. He gave up a happy life and chose the thorny path and sacrificed his life for the country. Even though he could not see the sunrise of freedom in his life, but he pierced the dark clouds of slavery with his revolutionary arrows so much that ultimately that dark cloud had to run away from the land of India with its tail between its legs.
