Bhagat Singh Ki Jail Dayari by Rajshekhar Vyas [Hardcover] Hindi Edition

PRODUCT DETAILS

Each page of Bhagat Singh's diary written from a Lahore jail would now be available to the masses, as Yadvinder Singh Sandhu, grandson of the martyr's younger brother Kultar Singh, has reproduced the rare manuscripts in the form of a book. Sandhu (28) claimed that it would be for the first time that all the original notes of the diary, along with their transcribed and reprinted text verbatim, would be available in a book, likely to be released next month. Bhagat Singh had written the diary during September 12, 1929 to March 22, 1931. He penned 288 pages on issues ranging from revolution and democracy to child labour and capital punishment. After the martyrdom of Bhagat Singh on March 23, 1931, the diary was handed over to Kultar Singh, who was then just 14 years old. "Though manuscripts of Bhagat Singh have been in the public domain for years, but not in the form of a book. This probably is the first authentic and most detailed reproduction of Shaheed-e-Aazam's diary notes written in his own handwriting, which will help the youth of this nation interact directly with the thought process of the visionary martyr," Sandhu told ToI.
